update...

We are now almost halfway through our pregnancy and I am 18 weeks today. Tis the holiday season and I feel things are in slow motion. We still have our scare crow and pumpkins out along with our Christmas lights...we are soo behind and Christmas is on Tuesday.

Rob did excellent in school this semester. He took five classes and made four A's and one C...he says he had to sacrafice to get those four A's...but he is doing great. He has two full time semesters and two part time semesters left. YEAH!!! He loves his job blowing things up and he was able to watch two slow cooks at work since school has been out.(slow cooks are when you slowly raise the temp on amunition and bombs to see when they blow)

Isabella is doing wonderful in school and she is reading. She is top in her kindergarten between the three classes at her school. She loves school and loves school work...I wish she would love doing stuff at home as much...clean her room, clean up after herself...etc. You moms get it!

Cole is now three and is GQ...he loves dressing nice and wearing ties...he likes to brush his hair and style it. He totally loves choo-choo's and Thomas. He is in preschool and likes it lots but you ask him what he did and it's always the same..."I played with choo-choo's and went outside."

Dinner our Cat- dog is doing great she also just turned three and is finally not charging the door, breaking through it...so she does love us at least a little.

My hobiness is doing great and now I have a blog for that. I'm still working on it so look for it in the future. We hope everyone has a wonderful, happy holiday week and a great new year with lots in store...we certainly do.

Life

So here it is October 2nd and I just noticed that I haven't blogged in TWO MONTHS! Wow and I'm sorry. This is an update...but where do I start. Isabella started school in the middle of August and she loves it. She is my social butterfly who thinks she is 20 and is actually an independent five year old. We but heads all the time and I'm worried that if we don't figure something out soon it will be a downward spiral and only get worse. She loves everything about school but I think her favorite is to be line leader. She did get 100% on her monthly math test yesterday! Way to go B! She is still taking piano lessons and is doing great. But she doesn't like to practice and I think this is where we are butting heads the most. She is a great kid though I wonder if I'm trying to convince myself?

Cole started school in September and is loving it. He is the youngest in his class but you wouldn't now it by looking at him. He's a big boy. He loves school because they have a choo-choo table and choo-choo playground equipment. He can sing his ABC's and count to ten. We are working on name recognition and letter recognition along with numbers. He's doing well though.

Rob is already 1/2 way through his semester and doing great...he is getting lots of information that is actually useful.

In September we went to Chattanooga to spend the night in a choo choo and then ride a train. The kids loved it...definitely something we'd do again.

One last thing and then I gotta go...We are going to have a BABY! We are 6 weeks pregnant! I'll keep you updated.

9 days in review

On August 1 the 35w bridge in Minneapolis fell...my thoughts were oh my, we only lived a few blocks from there. I drove across that bridge often...that is so sad. I felt horrible. on to other news...on Monday Isabella had piano lessons, she is doing great. She is on her third book and playing with both hands (just barely but still!) She is so smart! On Tuesday Cole and Isabella had dentist appointments, Cole's first. We practiced what would be done so he wouldn't be scared, I brushed his teeth, he says aah and lets me brush and look...he does it so good at home...BUT we get to the dentist and we go to the room and he doesn't want to sit in the recliner dentist chair...he doesn't want to sit on my lap in the chair...he doesn't want to open his mouth...nothing he doesn't want to do anything, thankfully the dentist Dr Tony is very accommodating and says lets try again next time. So our new appointment is December 3, wish us luck, and another nice thing they didn't charge me for Cole.

Later that night Rob's mom came to visit us and she is still here...that's all I have to say right now about that.

Isabella had her first day of school on Wednesday and Monday and Tuesday we practiced getting up and getting ready for school so we were up early and ready to go my 7:30...school here starts at 8. When we went to school on Wednesday, her teacher, Mrs. Kramer was at the door helping the kids get ready for the day...she is a great teacher (a mother can just tell). I cried when we left, I didn't think it would hit me like it did...just one more mile stone for her. She is a short lady, probably less than five feet tall but has a great spirit. Isabella really likes her. She forgot her lunch yesterday and so Rob had to bring it on his way to work, when he got to her room Isabella was standing in front of her class being the center of attention...her favorite place these days. I called Rob later in the day and said not to be worried, she'll do great. Today when we were leaving for school I asked if she just wanted to be dropped off or walked in. She said dropped off, I said okay, but then I changed my mind and said we are going to walk you in. She said okay but I am just going to do drive through pick up today, well see how that goes.

I have pictures but since I'm very computer illiterate I don't know how to down load them but I'll post them later.

Dentist: The final outcome

So the dentist we went to today was closer...by at least fifteen minutes, YEAH! When we got there I filled out the standard new patient information and in no time was seen. They let me go back with Isabella while she had her teeth ex-rayed that is when they noticed that the previous dentist had missed TWO cavities...they were in between the teeth. So they filled three today and capped one(silver) and she goes back next week for the other side. These people were so friendly. After Isabella had her ex-rays the tech offered Isabella, Cole, and Talan a toothbrush and when it was time to leave they all got stickers and BIG balloons. This is the dentist for us. I love them! It so exciting to find professionals who care for your children almost as much as you do. So Isabella and Cole go back next week...this will be Cole's FIRST dentist appointment ever! I am so excited.

More Dentist Drama

So we rescheduled for the dentist for today. Talan was here early so off we went. The dentist is in Decatur at least a thirty minute drive. It took us 40 minutes with traffic. We get there and I'm signing in and they ask to see our insurance card. So I give it to them and they tell me they only take medicaid. I pass them the sheet of paper that we came with from our dentist and I said..."they sent me here"...in my head I think who am I going to yell at, you because last week you almost made me cry and now you say you can't see me or my dentist who made me waist my precious $2.69 a gal gas, because they sent me to the wrong place. Anyway the receptionist was very kind and called another dentist(I think they are all connected) and set up an appointment with them for Isabella on Wednesday. I end up not yelling at anyone BUT I do tell Rob about it. We will once again travel to another town but it is closer...it should only take half the time...the saga continues...

Just a note so Rob doesn't think I left him out. This weekend we canned. We made pickles, salsa and Rob has been wanting to can okra for years and Saturday he finally did it. We were busy but it was a good time. The kids were not interested in the process though. Maybe next year.

Search for Birth Certificate

So today I needed to find my birth certificate.(Kinda should have already found it) So I said "OK when was the last time I saw it"...February 17th, I needed to get an Alabama drivers license, nothing like waiting til the last minute, eh? So I searched the coat I wore the purse I used, couldn't find it. Then I started to panic...I decided to look through every diaper bag and purse that I own. Couldn't find it, BUT I found $.83 and lots of paper garbage. Good cleaning I thought but where could it be, so I called Rob I said I can't find it. He said he took out the file box so I could check that...I did, my thought "didn't we just clean this out?"(Rob is a pack rat!) Nothing okay next I looked in the safety deposit box, every one's birth certificate is there including copies and Rob's dads. OK now what...so I go to Rob's side of the computer desk, very cluttered, sometimes I put things up for him to put away. Cleaned a shelf nothing. Go to my junk drawer and look, clean it out.( now it is organized for a few months) Nothing, time to bring in the big guns because I need this TODAY! I go in the bedroom and pray to Heavenly Father for him to help me find it. I call Rob again, he suggest that it may be in the ammo case, because when he went shooting he put the papers in there temporarily. Wasn't there and I had no idea how many bullets we had(my dad gave them to us) Last resort, I cleaned off the computer desk...it's bad when I found that the majority of the things on the desk were mine, oops! Didn't find the paper but the desk is clean. I gave up, for a bit. I made the kids lunch and put the boys down for a nap. Then I researched the file box and was in the process of researching my junk drawer... there it was, YEAH! Complete, now Isabella can play the computer(I told her she'd have to wait til I found the paper) So that is the end of my Birth certificate experience.

The moral of this story, put things back where they belong, NOT where you found them!

Dentist Day

Today the day started out EARLY. Too early, Cole decided last night not to eat dinner sooo, he was hungry and woke up every three hours wanting..."white milk chocolate milk" translated means chocolate milk only water was offered and then there was an uproar ..."NO WATER, WHITE MILK CHOCOLATE MILK" over and over through the night. He finally gave up around five and joined Rob and I in our bed. Cole is such a Momma's boy. So Rob was up shortly after 6. My alarm doesn't go off until 6:50(YEAH), then I roll out of bed. Seven thirty get the kids up, Cole would sleep til 8 or longer in our bed and Isabella is our night owl so she likes to sleep in anyways. Up, up, up we've got to leave for the dentist in one hour. Get dressed, eat breakfast, a chocolate covered donut that Isabella and Nanna picked out last night, wash face, brush teeth very well (dentist today), brush hair Isabella's least favorite, do hair and get shoes on. Talan (little boy I watch) is supposed to be here at 8:30. It's 8:30 where is Chris(Talans dad), phone rings Chris..."I'm late and I'm still ten minutes away"...I tell him come and I'll go get gas and meet him here...In my mind I know I'm going to miss this appointment but I hold out, get gas and get back, look at the clock and notice that I will not make it(Decatur is where we have to go 30 minutes away) So I call and explain, they put me on hold and then sternly when they get back on the line say we don't reschedule first appointments if they are late or broken at that time I start to cry trying to hold it together...I hate being late for anything and I'm not good at being scolded either, so I just listened and then she said she will this time reschedule for Monday so there you go. That was all before nine this morning. I still have piano, visiting teaching, swimming lessons, and relief society today through tonight.
