Just a bunch of stuff
So three weeks ago school started and I thought I could get lots more done at home...NOT, well if I was home. But since I am VP and in charge of membership for PTA this year for the kiddos school(Chapman Ele.) I am more busy then the summer...till this week, thanks heaven! I needed this although the boys were sick and that meant two trips to the Dr's and two co pays...crazy....so let me start...
First week, or day of school we had three, count them three PTA events up to and including the first day of school. That day we also had the boo hoo-yahoo table which I managed and when it was time for the B to head to class daddy was still not there and he had the camera and she mustn't be late for class...especially not on the first day of school, so I sent her off with a hug and kiss and I still hadn't at this point met her teacher...but I was stuck...two minutes later Rob and C came in with the camera in hand so we all march down there when the bell ring and B is in her seat Rob has the camera and no picture is taken for B's first day of school...
Then 15 minutes later it is C turn to be dropped off to class...we get there take pictures (which will come later) and let him go...he knows there are trains and that is all he wants to do right now! So as he's off I fall apart but try to hold it together as I'm VP and need to get back to business but not good, tears flow Rob is there and comforts me and so do the other ladies on our team...A week later is our nine year anniversary and Rob is working til Midnight the night before but gets me a beautiful dozen roses which I wake up to and immediately have to share with all the kiddos(they each had one in a vase in there rooms) Soccer practice later that night for both kiddos so I was thinking when are we going to celebrate...although we had an early celebration with friends at the theatre and dinner at Dolce yummy! So we did dinner after the kiddos were in bed and Rob bought us a new beautiful camera which I LOVE!This week we had PTA open house and it was a great success with drum line from Lee high and great participation from parents and we cannot forget the food that was donated...did I already say it YUM-O!...So now we are week three and things are calmer, I just finished a banner for the stake Disaster and Family Preparedness seminar which is this weekend so check that out...here are pics from the lst few weeks, so enjoy! By now!PS We had a birthday party on Sunday for Dinner B planned it all and I helped her make the dog cake...yes there is such a thing!Dinner and her present

My favorite store
ok...besides Pottery Barn and William-sonoma...is The Children's Place...I can always find the best deals and great shipping prices...this week I bought 4 pairs of shorts and 4 shirts...normal price with shipping would have been $121, my price after my discount, with shipping...was $36...that is like crazy savings and I can't even do the math...but I know that it is A LOT! I also got C and G matching outfits! So next time you shop for the kiddos check it out and don't forget to use retail me not to check for a discount, they are the best!

sunday dinner with monkey bread
So sunday is the day we are home from church early because our ward gets done at 11:30. We try to do things with the kiddos that we don't get to do during the week becuase we are a busy little family. Today we played Jr Clue, bacci, watched a little garfield...and then made dinner...in between I made them clean up after themselves that alwasyseems to be the hardest.
Anyway I made the main course, cheeseburger meatloaf, au gratan pototoes from scratch, green beans, salad and homeade "logan's" rolls...dessert was taken care of by Rob and the kiddos...Monkey bread dutch oven style(outside on some coles) here's what it looks like...4hours later Rob is still in shock at how amazing it looked and it was very yummy by the way...you go guys!

Babysitting
So tonight after two days on the phone after my original babysitter canceled I finally was able to secure a babysitter for our anniversary movie and dinner night out...now I wonder why is it so hard to find reliable, stable childcare when we need a break or would like to celebrate an anniversary? Are my children B...A...D? Does G cry to much, is C to whiny, is B too bossy? What is it? Now I know there are you guys who would do if we asked, great but we tried to keep it close to town since our outings usually end up on the other end of town...so I think we are going back to co-oping...any family interested give us a call...you know where we live...we will do up to two other families...that will be three families total...when we did it before it was every friday rotating houses and for 4-5 hours so everyone could get a break so seriously, if you want to let me know!
My thoughts on school
So I woke up several times through the night not because I wanted to but I have two little men that had their issues last night and into this morning. My thought though is I love being a mom and I love my kiddos and can keep them fairly busy until kindergarten age. So I'm so glad there is school...I'm glad we live in a neighborhood school that is good that they have recess, PE, art and music along with everything else all week. I know now that I would not do well with home school although there was a time when I thought I could...but now that I'm older and maybe a little wiser I am thankful for our little Chapman Elementary School and the wonderful teachers there. Thanks for your help, help teaching my children!

Are you ready for some absolutely delicious fabric choices?
Some completely adorable camera accessories?
You're going to fall in love...
Shealynn from *Shey*[B], has one sassy little Camera Strap shop. Shealynn is an Arizonan mom to 2 little girls and has a love (and knack) for photography. She makes all of her camera straps/covers by hand and ships these little beauties internationally. They do not replace your camera strap, they just cover them up and add the perfect little flair to any camera.
Let me show you.
Check out this yummy little Pistachio Damask cover found here.
Or how about this Fall Apple Tree cover found here. How sweet is that?
Okay, I'vejust about fallen in love with the Pom Pom Flourish cover found here.
And something really fabulous that Shealynn has added to some of her covers, is Minky. Have you heard of Minky? Oh, it's only the softest, most cuddly fabric you will ever find. And she adds it to the back of some of the covers. Perfect for a tired and sensitive neck. Ahhhhh.....
This Turquoise and Brown Damask can be found here.
And have you ever lost your camera lens cover? Or just misplaced it? (I have so many times.) Problem solved. Just contact Shealynn if you'd like a lens pocket added to your cover.
Shealynn also personalizes the covers, adds fabric Yo-Yo's to your cover if you'd like, and even offers gift certificates. Wow.....the options.
And right now, *Shey*[B] is celebrating her first birthday. Yay. Each week, there will be a new sale offered in the shop. This week, you will reiceve 20% off your order. Check back each week for her new offer. Can't go wrong with that.
And as a side note, go on over to Shealynn's blog here. You'll be glad you did. She blogs about life, kids, projects, and more. You will become glued to the screen once you read her posts and see her photographs. So breathtaking.
And yes, Shealynn has generously decided to do a giveaway right here on Make It and Love It. She has donated any camera strap slipcover with a value of $18.50........for free. Yes, all for you. Or you. Or you. :)
**Please note: You must enter in a separate comment for each entry. (Example: If you'd like 5 extra entries for visiting a shop, you must enter 5 different comments, in addition to any other entries/comments.) Thanks.
